Gift memberships

IRA Charitable Gifts
Individuals aged 70.5 and older can distribute funds from their IRAs to DarkSky and other charities without counting the distribution as income. For more information please check with your bank or financial advisor, or contact [email protected].
Corporate matching
Many employers match donations—some even double or triple your gift, including those from spouses or retirees. Check your company’s intranet or ask HR if they offer a matching gift program. If so, request a matching gift form and send the completed form to: [email protected].

Your membership contribution is tax-deductible in the United States, as allowed by law. DarkSky is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization, registered in the state of Arizona. Our EIN is 74-2493011.

DarkSky does not share our members’ personal information outside of the organization for any reason without your explicit permission. Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my membership be valid?
If you select Monthly sustaining membership, your membership will continue until you cancel it. If you select Annual membership, your membership will last one year, and you will receive an email reminder to renew.
Can I contribute to DarkSky monthly?
Yes, by using the Monthly sustaining membership form.
How do I update my credit card?
To do this, log in to our Supporter portal on NationBuilder. Use the “Don’t have an account?” input to create a new NationBuilder account. Make sure to use the email address you used when you donated to DarkSky before.
How do I update my email address?
Email [email protected] with your old and new email address.
What if I don’t want to receive mail from DarkSky?
Email [email protected] and we‘ll switch you to “no physical mail.”
